It started
as a favor.
It became
a trilogy.

How this began. The first conversation with Carlos Castro, founder of Latina Beer, was an offer to produce a portfolio piece using his real product — no commercial commitment attached. That single spec offer opened a conversation that escalated into a full three-film brand trilogy.

Latina Beer — brewed by Cervecería Miss Latina in Toronto — is a craft beer brand with over a decade of history, built for a community that rarely sees itself reflected in premium beverage branding.

A key strategic decision shaped everything that followed: the client chose to invest in narrative brand film before building out the brand's web presence — the films establish who the brand is; the site gets built after, informed by that story.

"A quiet redefinition of what it means to 'make it' — from returning home triumphant, to building something real here."

Not a return
in triumph.
A table
built here.

Twelve scenes, five story beats, a near-two-decade time jump — condensed here into three acts: leaving, becoming, and belonging.

Personal
yet universal
Restrained
until it isn't
Warm
never sentimental
01
Leaving
A goodbye at his mother's door, then an empty airport corridor — no one left to hold him back.
02
Becoming
Faceless work, then dignity, then someone who finally says his name right. Two promises — wedding vows, citizenship oath — shot as a deliberate diptych.
03
Belonging
A table fills up with people he didn't know the day he left. He rises with a can in hand — the film's only direct address to camera.
The Closing Line
“Por eso le pusimos así:
el placer… de la buena compañía.”
“That's why we named it this way:
the pleasure… of good company.”

One face.
Twenty years.
Zero resets.

A 100% AI production pipeline on Seedance 2.5 — but the hardest problem wasn't generation, it was continuity. The lead character had to age credibly across almost two decades of screen time without ever losing identity.

The solve: character sheets built once, then aged through image editing — never regenerated from scratch by age. That technique held facial identity through the film's full time jump, scene after scene.

Age Continuity
Character sheets aged through image editing across the near-20-year time jump — a technique that held identity where regeneration would have broken it.
Brand-Accurate Product
The can was built from the client's own product photography — not generated from a text description. Every label detail matches the real Latina Beer can.
Diptych Echo
The wedding vows and the citizenship oath share the exact same framing and restraint — a deliberate visual echo, not a coincidence of coverage.
Real Iteration
Casting, script, and the closing tagline were shaped through genuine back-and-forth with the client — a collaborative process, not a single delivered file.

Built in
stages.
Each one locked
before the next.

Character sheets first — Diego, Claire and Mamá — locked before a single second of video was generated. Then reference plates for all nine locations, from the family living room to the citizenship hall.

Video generation on Seedance 2.5, driven entirely by those locked references. Every creative decision made by the Director — the tools served the brief.

The final brand film — concept, direction and production by Carlos Bolívar for Boli.Media. This is what an AI-integrated creative system produces when the Director's judgment is the filter, not the afterthought.

A favor became
a festival
selection.
Twice over.

Acepto is set to screen at Alucine Toronto and the Niagara Film Festival in 2027, credited as "Directed by Carlos Bolívar, presented by Latina Beer." A spec offer, made without any commercial commitment, is now headed to two film festivals.

This is the case for Boli.Media's approach. Not that we use AI — every studio claims that now. But that we use AI the way a Director uses a camera: as a tool subordinate to a vision, not a substitute for one.

"This started as a favor with no commercial ask attached. It's now going to two film festivals. That's the whole argument for direction-first work."

Three stories.
One brand.

Acepto is one of three separate stories being told for Latina Beer — not one story split into three parts. Each film stands on its own, exploring the immigrant experience from a different angle, all converging on the same brand: belonging, community, and the pleasure of good company.

The next two stories are already scripted — each one expanding this same page at full depth the moment its film is finished. No redesign required.

Story 2 — "Las que Ponen la Mesa," in production
Theme — three generations of women, the same gesture of hospitality repeated across three eras
Story 3 — "Postales a Casa," scripted, last in the queue
